Carmel is an author of booklets, articles and short stories, usually on the subject of The Potteries and North Staffordshire where she lives.
She also depicts the area in watercolour paintings, reflecting on post-industrial landscapes and images close to home. Change, decay and regeneration of the localities by nature are a favourate theme.A Marriage of Art and Faith
